I love maxi dresses! You can just throw them on and go on about your day comfortably. You can also definitely dress it up with heels or dress it down with flip flops.
And I’m short. How am I going to wear a maxi dress?! To premise this post, I’m 5’2″ tall. I’m just a little short to fully enjoy a maxi dress from many stores. I picked out eight dresses for the Prime Wardrobe box to try on. And, maxi dresses are also bump friendly – if you’re currently on that path in life! This women’s formal dress is made from soft luster corduroy fabric, which was stretchy. It was small, so size up from your regular size. Jessica Simpson Women’s Katie Ruffle Trim Three Tier Maxi Dress
Loved the pattern and color of this dress, super flowy and beautiful. I ordered a size large and it is true to size. The fabric is a little heavy, so the drawstring waist didn’t stay in place – the weight was pulling it down. The hem is higher on the sides, but longer in the front and back. I didn’t keep this one, but I might size down if I was going to purchase. This one is super cute!

Daily Ritual Women’s Jersey Standard-Fit Mock-Neck Maxi Dress
It wasn’t too large or too small, but the fabric was clinging in all waist area. I didn’t find this dress flattering. The length was a little too long for me. I would need to tie it in a knot if I were to keep it. The price point is good if you’re looking for an extra jersey dress for running errands!

ECOWISH Womens Dresses Bohemian Wrap V Neck Short Sleeve Ethnic Style High Split Beach Maxi Dress
This was definitely made for someone who is taller. The chest area didn’t fit correctly because my torso is short. There was too much loose fabric that didn’t hold after I tied it in place. It’s cute with the leg split, but I would be worried about a potential over exposure! You can see on the model how closed the wrap part is over the chest.

Chaus Women’s Cap SLV Radiant Flowers Tie Waist Maxi – SOLD OUT
This dress is made of polyester and spandex, so it is super soft and stretchy. The weight of the fabric makes it a little too thick for the super hot summer weather. It comes with a small drawstring on the waist. I ordered a large – the dress is true to size. Also it is a good length on me.

ECOWISH Women Dress Halter Neck Boho Floral Print Sleeveless Casual Backless Maxi Dresses with Belt
How cute is this dress! I love how it fits. Around the midsection it kind of hangs over which makes it so flattering and forgiving on your stomach. It also comes with a little tie that you can wrap around as a bow as well. The fabric is light weight and the pattern is really beautiful. This is actually a full Maxi on me and would pair nicely with heels.

This dress is made of 100% viscose material. The smocked top fit well and the stretch ended right after the chest. The rest of the dress flows nice and the sleeves aren’t too tight. I ordered a Large and it fit true to size. I kept this one!

MITILLY Women’s Boho Leopard Print Ruffle Long Sleeve V Neck Casual Flowy Party Maxi Dress
The material is extremely comfortable and not see through at all, so you won’t need a cami or anything underneath. The length hit on me as if it was tailored to my height, which is a difficult find for me. The belt gives it a perfect tie to be a bit more elegant. This dress would be good in an office or classroom setting!

Some of these are really cute! Being petite too I find I can’t do most wrap dresses – they never hit at the right point! I don’t have any wrap maxi dresses, but I find midi lengths end up being maxi on me so I try shop for those if I can’t find a store that does petite sizing in maxis! 🙂

Yes! I was surprised that I found some that weren’t forevvver long on me. And I don’t think I’ve own anything wrapped since I was in high school (too big of chest, lol)! I also have a difficult time with midi lengths because my calves are quite large. I end up looking awkward! And petite sizing is just a little smaller than I need.
