I’ve created some Hawaii outfits now that I’ve finally had time to go shopping!
Vacation planning is upon us. Next destination: Hawaii!
I went to the Dallas Galleria last weekend and was able to pick up some new clothes. I haven’t been planning what to pack for my trip because I’ve been focused on other things last month.
Not every store had much in the way of summer or beach clothes since it’s already October. I was able to find a tee, a tank and a dress. It’s too late to shop online unless I choose rush shipping.
I ordered from Athleta and have already received my packages. I placed an order on Amazon, but it says it won’t arrive until November – after I leave for vacation! I also have some dresses coming from Red Dress Boutique, but they should be here before the end of the week.
What to Pack for Hawaii | Vacation Inspiration
If you’ve given yourself enough time to shop, then you probably don’t need to worry yourself too much.
I am planning some outfits based on some of the excursions that we’ll be doing and the places that we’ll be visiting in Hawaii. We’ll be beach bound in Honolulu, then hiking for the sunrise in Maui before darting off to a Luau.
I can’t wait to visit, but I want to take the time to visualize my outfits. This helps me plan because I can also see how far I am on my packing list.
Waikīkī Beach
Waikīkī is famous for its beaches on the shores of Honolulu. And it’s located just next to the main strip of Kalākaua Avenue – which is full of shops and restaurants. Whether you’re beaching it all day or headed out on the waters in a catamaran, you’ll want to stay cool in a swimsuit.
Sunrise Tour at Haleakalā National Park
Sunrises and sunsets are only two of the many reasons to pay Haleakalā National Park a visit on your trip to Maui. The park is larger than 30,000 acres and has stunning landscapes range from deserts and rock gardens near the summit to lush waterfalls and streams in the park’s coastal Kīpahulu section.
We have to get up at 2 a.m. to start this adventure. I have my hiking outfit planned and I’m bringing a jacket! The temperature drops 3º for every 1000 feet of elevation, and temperatures are around 40 degrees. And after the sunrise, we’re headed straight into a zipline adventure!
Luau
On our last night of the vacation, we’ll get to enjoy a luau in an oceanfront setting on Ka’anapli Beach. I want to wear a dress, but I don’t want to wear anything too formal. I found this cotton, floral dress on sale at Abercrombie.
Casual Shopping
In Maui, our hotel is on the west end of the island. We’ll be in walking distance of Whaler’s Village, so I’d like to take some time walking through the shops. There’s no need for me to be too dressed up, so here’s some casual options to help me get ready to shop and eat.
What else should I pack? Let me know in the comments below.
XOXO,
Katie
