Yellowstone National Park is a vast and iconic national park located primarily in the U.S. state of Wyoming, with small portions extending into Montana and Idaho.

These are some of my favorite and very randomly taken shots throughout the park. Mostly we’d drive, quickly pull into a turnout, jump out of the car, take pictures (maybe five minutes), then get back in the car and keep on driving. Some were even taken while driving. Actually, most of these were taken while driving.

Geological Marvels

One of the most captivating aspects of Yellowstone is its geological features. The park rests atop the massive Yellowstone Caldera, an active volcanic system that influences the geothermal wonders the park is known for. The geysers, hot springs, fumaroles, and mud pots create a surreal landscape that is unlike anywhere else on Earth. Notably, the renowned “Old Faithful” geyser erupts with clockwork precision, delighting visitors with its impressive displays.
