I spent the final week of June getting ready for the Fourth of July sales.
This post is about everything I ordered from Loft. I also ordered from Nordstrom, Abercrombie & Fitch and American Eagle.
Tropical Smocked Skirt

I ordered this skirt in a medium and it has a stretchy waist. I didn’t factor in how long the skirt would be because it looked so short on the model on the website. I had to wear it almost as high as my ribs in order to get the mini-skirt feel.
Sailor Riviera Shorts

I ordered these in a size 8. They are super cute and I love the bright red color – perfect for the summer. They were, however, too large for me. They kept sliding down my hips. I don’t think I’m quite a 6 yet, but I’m working my way towards that!
Clip Sleeveless Shirt

I ordered this shirt in a medium and it’s is fairly close to true to size. I think if I ordered the small that it would’ve been too small. Right now I’m in-between sizes. I love that the dots add just a hint of color.
LOU & GREY Supersoft Sateen Pants

Again, I ordered these pants in a medium, but they were too long for me and I had to hike them up high on my hips. I’m too short for regular length, but I never seem to find the correct size in their petites.
Textured Ruffle Top

I ordered this in a medium and it is true to size. I was going to keep this one, but I tried to wear it and didn’t like the way the fabric feels on my skin. I liked the pink because I’ve been trying to add some color into my wardrobe.
Belted Pleated Shorts in Palm

I thought these shorts would pair great with the essential v-neck white tank top, but I didn’t like the belt on the shorts. I love the fabric print, but they are also a little too large for me.
Tiered Ruffle Sleeve Tee

I love the way this tee looks with the shorts, but I am wearing a tank top underneath. The material is very see-through and I do not like to wear too many layers during summer. I also would not layer this in the colder months because I would end up wearing a sweater and losing out on the precious sleeves. I ordered a medium and it is true to size.

I ordered a medium and this tank top is true to size. I now own this tank top in black and white. It’s perfect to pair with any shorts of color or for an under a large, flowing button down.
Gingham Tie Front Cami

I ordered this in a medium, and it fit my chest, but seemed to be too large everywhere else. I also felt like there was too much material for my own chest and draws the eyes there.
Monroe Chino Shorts in Chambray Fireworks

I ordered these chino shorts in an 8, but they are too large on me just like the red shorts. These were way looser on my hips than the other pair, so I’m fairly confident that I could pull off the size six.

Striped Harbor Tank Top

I believe that every closet should have a basic striped shirt. I have loved stripes since I was in high school (horizontal, not vertical). I will always have some type of striped shirt in my closet. I ordered this in a medium and it is true to size.
Emory Shorts

I ordered a medium in these shorts and I thought they looked good when trying them on. I do have buyers remorse on these because I feel like they sit funny and make my butt look really big. I’ll wear them for the summer then list them on my poshmark.

I loved everything about the lemon theme that Loft had this spring and I’m so excited for lobsters! This shirt had a really cute print and I ordered a medium. It is true to size.
Floral Lace Flutter Sleeve Top

I ordered a medium in this top and it is true to size. The only problem with it is that it is see-through, so you have to wear a shirt underneath. I’m glad it wasn’t one of those two-part tops, because those never seem to fit right anyways. I have a spaghetti strap white tank that pair perfectly.
