The Gin and Tonic cocktail is a classic. And it’s been one of my favorites this past year!
I thought I’d find a way to bring it into the holiday season by adding a touch of Christmas charm. It’s always a light and refreshing drink.
How to Mix Christmas Gin and Tonic
If you’ve never made simply syrup, you’ll be pleasantly surprised how easy it is! All you have to do is heat even parts water and sugar on the stove. Once the sugar is dissolved it’s done. That’s it!
For the Gin and Tonic (or G+T), all you need are equal parts gin and equal parts tonic. I swapped out one of the shots of tonic for the simple syrup. I like to use Bombay Sapphire Distilled London Dry Gin. And I like to keep it light with diet tonic water.

Mmm this sounds lovely! I can smell the gin from here – such a Christmasy drink. I love the addition of cranberries, and think this is a good balance for all the sweets we tend to eat during the holidays. It would be a very refreshing cocktail!
