Day 1
And welcome to Day 1 of my IFBCON photos. This is a conference that inspires and teaches Independent Fashion Bloggers to go the extra mile in their work. It’s also a way to bring the fashion blogging community together for a short couple of days. Here’s the live coverage from both days.
If you weren’t paying attention, I fueled the inspiration for Uncommon to design an iPhone case based on fall fashion trends. This was part if the IFB Project #61. If I didn’t win, then I wouldn’t have met one of the other winners, Charisma In Bklyn, who I spent almost the entire conference with.
The Panels were The Future of Fashion and The Business of Blogging:
Keynote Speakers: A Conversation between Coco Rocha and Derek Blasberg.
Bloggers were getting their makeup done by Bare Minerals, bedazzling tees at the Mail Chimp booth, or charging their phones at the Lockerz booth.
Day 2
Here is the live coverage from Day 2 of IFBCON. Definitely better than Day 1 in terms of how much information I soaked up. Content overload, but worth attending. There were so many inspiring girls (and some guys) that have so much energy. It’s amazing what they bloggers have accomplished so far and I can’t wait to see what they do from here on out.
Keynote speaker: Iman interviewed by Peter Davis
“Make yourself irreplaceable and indispensable.” – Iman
“1/3 of your budget should be spent on summer clothes. 2/3 should be spent on winter and autumn wear.” – Style For Hire
Panels: The New Entrepreneur and Journalism VS. Blogging
“Don’t worry about what everyone else is doing. Do whatever you want to do. Set your own pace.” – Kendi Everday
DIY Session: Wire and Pliers with Jenni Radosevich from I Spy DIY
These two days went by so quick, but it was so much fun. I recommend attending the next one!
