I’ve always hated my closet. One shelf for the entire length and one rod also. There were two hooks, on both ends, and my mother installed two shelves on the side when I was younger. Apartment Therapy also mentioned a few space-saving solutions for small closets here.
Over the first weekend in March, we ripped everything out, put on a fresh coat of paint, then, painstakingly, installed the Ikea Algot closet organizing system. It was only painstakingly done because we attached the suspension rail using round-top screws, then had to take it down, move the entire thing an inch up and use the appropriate flat-top screws. The entire process took three evenings to complete and only a couple bottles of wine.
I am entirely ecstatic with the results!
XOXO,
Katie
