May 2022 reading list – Which books are worth the read and which should you skip?
One of my #22in2022 goals is to read 50 books this year. So far I’ve read:
If you’re on Goodreads, add me as a friend and join me as I reach my reading goal!
1. Family of Liars by E. Lockhart
I have We Were Liars on my loan list at the library, but Family of Liars is the prequel. This one was available to check out immediately. I was not disappointed! I read it very quickly… Rich family problems and secrets. Do you need any more temptation than that?
2. Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
I watched the HBO limited series before I knew it was a book. I liked the series and enough time has passed since I watched it that I thought it’d be good to read it. I love the entire cast. If you haven’t read anything by Flynn before, add it to your list!
3. Just Like the Other Girls by Claire Douglas
The narration was all over the place, but the mystery was there. It kept me curious. But then what I thought was the main character ended up switching to another. An elderly woman hires young women for free room and board to be her companion and assist her around the house. The daughter, who neglects her own husband and children, doesn’t approve. Two of the previous companions have mysteriously disappeared.
I’ve read a total of 23 books so far in 2022 – which is 46% of my goal!
