May 2023 reading list – Which books are worth the read and which should you skip?
One of my 2023 goals is to read 50 books this year. Yes, it’s the same as last year and, yes, that’s okay. You can review a list of all the books I rate 5 stars in 2022.
1. Untamed by Glennon Doyle
Category: Nonfiction
Untamed is both an intimate memoir and a galvanizing wake-up call. It is the story of how one woman learned that a responsible mother is not one who slowly dies for her children, but one who shows them how to fully live.
2. The Christie Affair by Nina de Gramont
Category: Mystery
Nan and the man she loved were a star-crossed couple who were destined to be together––until the Great War, a pandemic, and shameful secrets tore them apart. Then acts of unspeakable cruelty kept them separated.
3. What Lies in the Woods by Kate Alice Marshall
Category: Thriller
Twenty-two years ago, Naomi and her two best friends, Cassidy and Olivia, spent the summer roaming the woods, imagining a world of ceremony and wonder. The summer ended when Naomi was attacked. She survived seventeen stab wounds and lived to identify the man who had hurt her. They were heroes. And they were liars.
