A Review of My 2023 Goals – Here are the goals that I set for myself last year and how I stacked up to meet them throughout the year. You can read the origiinal goal post here.
2023 Goals
- Write 5 blog posts per month
- Read 50 books
- Drink 1 gallon of water each day
- Complete each month iFit Challenge
- Pay off truck note
- Take at least 3 3-day weekend trips with the dogs
- Increase LTK by 10%
- Gain two more clients
Write 5 blog posts per month
This goal equated to 60 posts for the entire year. While I didn’t meet the 5 per month, every month, I did meet the total amount of posts. I have published 130 posts this year. That is a 216% over my goal.
Read 50 books
I scraped by by getting in 1 extra book for a total of 51 books this year!
Drink 1 gallon of water each day
Some days were a struggle to meet the full gallon, but drinking water became routine by keeping an actual gallon next to the sink. I tried to make sure that half of it was gone by lunch to gauge my intake for the day.
Complete each month iFit Challenge
I did one (or more) workout challenges each month. iFit releases a themed workout for the month and I just follow what they give me. I finished the December challenge early in the month, but then I hurt my foot. I finished my goal, but I didn’t finish out the year as strong as I’d like!
Total Miles: 352.07
Total Hours: 227
Total Workouts: 96:23:56
Pay off truck note
I only had this on my goals list because we paid of my car the prior year. We did not make this goal a priority for the year.
Take at least 3 3-day weekend trips with the dogs
We went to A Weekend Trip Exploring Dinosaur Valley State Park with Hank, but that was the only trip with the dogs. I did a day trip to DVSP again at the end of September when family was visiting. In July we went to Disney World for a long weekend trip. Then in September we went to Wisconsin to see family.
Increase LTK by 10%
In 2022, I made $387.77. In 2023, I made $611.17. That is a 157% increase – when I only was looking to increase by 10%!
Gain two more clients
I worked with one more client in the spring and summer for a couple jobs, but it didn’t turn into anything long term. While I applied to a few jobs here and there on Upwork, I didn’t get hired for them.
