What I Packed For One Day at Disney with Park Hopper Option

What I Packed For One Day at Disney with the Park Hopper Option.

We’re headed to Disney World this weekend and I thought it would be convenient to go ahead and share everything I packed for this trip in a blog post before we go!

What you decide to wear will frame your entire packing process and ultimately determine how comfortable you are during your trip. Always remember, you are likely to do a lot of walking, so you want to make sure you have comfortable shoes and clothing for each day.

P.S. You can see all of my Disney posts here, like How to Plan Your First Trip to Disney World, Disney World Outfit Ideas for Women, & much more!

The Weather – We Visited in July and it’s Hot!

The first thing you need to keep in mind is that it’s going to be HOT. Really hot. Even if you’re visiting during the cooler months, you can expect temperatures in the high 80s or even low 90s. Yes, that’s right! So make sure to carry light, airy fabrics like cotton or linen that won’t make you sweat and look cute in pictures! Think tank tops, t-shirts, shorts, sundresses, and hats.

TIP: Test out your outfits BEFORE your trip.

What I Packed For One Day at Disney – EPCOT

We’re beginning our Saturday at EPCOT where we plan on heading the the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ride. When we went to EPCOT last year, we were at the park the week before the ride opened. This is the perfect opportunity to ride it!

What I Packed For One Day at Disney – Animal Kingdom

With the Park Hopper Option, we can switch to any park after 2 p.m. Our choice is Animal Kingdom to experience Avatar again! We loved the Flight of Passage ride.

What I Packed For One Day at Disney – The Essentials

  • Portable Charger: I was on my phone constantly using the park app to see ride wait times, view the map, and request lightning lane passes throughout the day. My battery life has been going down anyways (it’s time for a new phone) and I regularly get down to around 40%. Add in all the photos and video, it’s time to charge my phone before lunch! This one comes as a two-pack.
  • Chapstick: I swear by this O’Keefe’s brand chapstick. I get the unscented and my lips have never been better.
  • Small Backpack: I purchased the Loungefly mini backpack because I think their designs are the cutest, but you can literally find any style of backpack on Amazon.
  • Wet Wipes: If you plan on eating your way around the world at EPCOT – or eating any messy food in general – it’s good to have wet wipes with you! You can get all the greasy, sticky food residue off your hands quickly.
  • Sunscreen: This lightweight and sheer sunscreen is fast-absorbing for a non-greasy, matte finish that leaves skin feeling clean. The face and body sunscreen is formulated for superior sunburn protection for your skin
  • Sunglasses: These are my tried and true pair of glasses. It’s always good to have a pair if you don’t bring a hat.
  • Handheld Misting Fan: Its compact size and foldable design make it a versatile 3-in-1 fan – handheld, desk, and misting.
  • Reusable Water bottles: When you’re standing in long lines all day, you’ll want to carry with a lightweight reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.
  • Rain Jacket or Poncho: A poncho comes in handy in those emergency situations when the rain or snow starts out of nowhere. And with Florida weather, you never know when you’re going to get stuck in the rain.
  • Blister Bandages: These blister bandages are effective in providing relief and aiding in the healing process. The have a variety of sizes available and stick well.
  • Waterproof Bags or Sandwich Bags: If you’re headed on water rides, you’ll probably want to protect any tech or money by putting it in a sandwich bag before you head on the ride (if you’re not using a locker).
  • Mini First Aid Kit: This ultimate survival kit consists of everything that you need to clean and dress minor wounds in a convenient mini pouch.
  • Microfiber Travel Towel: These towels are soft, lightweight, compact, and quick-drying. They have good absorbency and lack of funky odors or mildew, even after extended use.
