January had a lot of planning involved to begin working on my goals. I am trying to turn my life around into something I really love – not something that I want to escape from. Since changing jobs last summer, I’ve been able to put in perspective how much of myself I was putting into work. I was constantly burned out and I could never relax. I always felt like I never had time for myself. I was living to escape from the burnout.

I’m going into 2022 with intention to become a happier person.

GOALS

I started off the month great! Since I started planning ahead in December, I had already finished a Gratitude Jar diy and I paid off my car note! And I planned another DIY for next month and purchased all the supplies.

I used Christmas bonus money to pay off my car loan. I thought my student loans were going to begin again in January, but then it was announced that the extension is going until May. We were trying to avoid one more monthly payment, but it’s deferred again! Next we have to figure out how much is left on Zack’s truck.

You can find my original list of my goals here: #22in2022.

INFLUENCER

I got to try some food and meet new influencers at Lemonshark Poke in Dallas.

LTK: January had 51 clicks and $0.62 in open commissions.

BLOG

Yes, I wrote eleven posts this month. It was a lot of planning and I’ve realized that all my efforts into writing and creating content that I haven’t been keeping up my socials! I have done a couple reels and a post here and there, but I really packed in my content in December then didn’t plan a lot for January.

I did participate in some engagement groups during each week. Some more than others. I am working on a post detailing the groups that I’ve been using. I will hopefully be done with it for next month!

January 2022 Transactions

HOVEL SWEET HOVEL

Pantry Upgrade – We have quite a few finishing details that we will need the time to do. There is more wood, sanding and painting involved. We had an electrician stop by to quote us on adding a couple outlets and are waiting to hear back. Other than that, we’ve been using the pantry!

FITNESS

I really want to lose 10 pounds. I’m giving myself 3 months to focus on this one task. I worked out whenever I could – morning, noon and night. Once I completed the monthly challenge, I found a Bora Bora Bootcamp which is 16 workout series that includes power walking, jogging, cross-training and tabata. And I sure stacked on the miles this month!

I completed the Italy Walking Series with iFit trainers Chris and Stacie Clark on January 17. I also walked the Commit to Fit 5K with iFit trainer John Peel.

Total Miles: 59.7
Total Hours: 18:09:49
Total Workouts: 42

PERSONAL

I have started my sixth book. Check out the five books I read in January.

I got my new 401K account opened, but that is the only step I’ve taken so far. I also discovered that you can rollover your HSA accounts. Since I have three different debit cards for three different banks, I am adding in the rollover of those as well.

XOXO,
Katie
