Monthly Life Update: May 2023 This month has been very difficult for us. We had to make the tough decision to put Colt down after he was losing the battle against cancer. It’s been difficult adjusting to his absence, but we are trying to remember our love for him and how he brought joy to our lives.
GOALS
I’ve been keeping up on my goals fairly steady. I haven’t felt up to writing a lot because my mind is on Colt. I’m processing. I did so well with writing all the travel posts last month, but I still have to work through the Nuremberg travel posts.

INFLUENCER
I’ve made the most progress with reaching my commission goal this year. We’re at the halfway mark of the year and I’m already at 89%. I focused on building my patio decor, but didn’t do too much.
LTK: May had 1,599 clicks and $89.16 in open commissions.
BLOG
I didn’t spend a lot of time on my blog this month. I had to get myself out of the funk I have been in. I have been through all the stages of grief, but I think May 31st was my best day. I could see the future and I was excited about what I’ve been working on. There was a couple of weeks where I was angry at everything and every task felt like too much.
I’m very good at “fake it til you make it” mentality, so even if I’m working/creating, it’s not my best and I’m just trying to move things off my plate. Done is done, even if its not great.

SIDE HUSTLE
I made 134.55 from Poshmark, which is on par for last month.
I’m also trying to sell things on Facebook Marketplace, but some of the scammers out there drive me crazy.
FITNESS
I worked through the Fitness Month Challenge, but it was a little confusing. You had to opt in each week for the current challenge to win the “trophy”. I completed both the running and walking challenge for week one, but I’m not sure why I didn’t earn the trophy for that week. I completed all the other ones.
